Account & Data Deletion Request
NearBuy (developed by Sandeep Saini) provides a simple way for users to request the deletion of their account and data.
How to Request Deletion:
- In-App: Use the support options (Email/WhatsApp) provided in your dashboard.
- Direct Email: Send an email to sandeep.saini482@gmail.com.
- Subject: Use "Data Deletion Request - NearBuy".
- Details: Provide your Registered Mobile Number.
Email Deletion Request
Data Retention:
Identifiers and profile data are deleted within 30 days. Financial transaction records (Razorpay) are retained for 7 years for legal compliance.
1. Information We Collect
- Account Authentication: Mobile number verification via Firebase. You may also browse as a guest using anonymous sign-in without providing any personal information.
- Profile Information: Name, optional email, address (society/flat), and birthdate.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device's GPS coordinates to show you shops within delivery range. Your location is used solely for proximity filtering and is never shared with third parties. Retailer shop addresses (derived from their registered profile address) are stored to enable customer-facing shop discovery.
- Transaction Data: Transaction IDs for platform dues.
- Notifications: FCM Tokens for real-time order alerts.
- Media: Shop and product images.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To facilitate local ordering and delivery.
- To show customers only the shops that can deliver to their location.
- To provide real-time tracking and notifications.
- To provide technical and customer support via email or WhatsApp.
- To manage platform commissions and prevent fraud.
3. Location Permissions
NearBuy requests ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION and ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION permissions to determine which shops can deliver to you. Location access is optional — you may deny the permission and browse shops without location-based filtering. Your coordinates are not stored permanently; they are used in-session only for proximity calculations.
4. Third-Party Services
We integrate with Google Play Services (including Fused Location Provider), Firebase, Razorpay, and Google Gemini API (AI-assisted product listing for retailers). When you use the "Support" feature, you may be redirected to WhatsApp or your device's Email provider, which have their own privacy policies.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption via Google Firebase to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
